To install Bangla in your Computer, it will take just few minutes. We can now easily read and write Bangla anywhere in computer and internet using few software installed. You can send e-mail in Bangla in Yahoo, Gmail.... You can write messages and comments in Facebook using Bangla. You can write Blogs in Bangla too!
It is very easy. Just GO with some very easy steps below.......
Step 1: Bangla Fonts
You need any Bangla Unicode font in your computer. If you don't have it, download is easy!
I prefer "SolaimanLipi " most as Bangla Unicode font. Download SolaimanLipi from here now and see nice view of Bangla in computer!
You can also “Download AdorshoLipi” and "Download Siyamrupali" Bangla Unicode fonts from here.
Now, Copy and paste the fonts to “C:\windows\fonts” or “control panel\fonts” folder. This step is over.

Step 2: Browser Configurations
I would like to request you for using Mozilla Firefox or Safari as browser for Bangla without any inconvenience. Now please configure the browser you use from the instructions given below
a) Mozilla Firefox
1. From menu click on “Tools” and select “Options”
2. From this window click on “Content”.
3. Click on “Advanced” button.
4. Click on the drop down list for option “Fonts for” select “Bengali” from this list.
5. Complete all the option fields by selecting “SolaimanLipi” or any other Bangla font.
6. Select “Default Character Encoding” as “Unicode (UTF-8)” and click Ok.
7. Click Ok again to complete your setup.
when you click on Tools> Options> Content in Mozilla:
Now, click 'Advanced', and fill accordingly
Note: Almost the same options are there in all the browsers, fix it :)
b) Safari
1. Open Safari, Go to Edit>Preferences
2. Click on Appearance
3. On the Standard Font and Fixed-Width Font, Select 'SolaimanLipi' in both Fields and Leave the font size as it was
4. Click on Default Encoding, and select Unicode (UTF-8) and close the box
5. Restart Safari
c) Internet Explorer
1. From menu, go to 'Tools' > 'Internet Options'
2. From this window click on 'Fonts'
3. Click on the drop down list for “Language Scripts” and select “Bengali” from this drop down list (you may have to scroll up to locate it)
4. Select any desired Bangla font (SolaimanLipi) for “Web Page Font”. Then click ok and ok again.
d) Opera
1. From menu click on Tools and select Preferences
2. Click on Advanced tab> Fonts from left menu and click international fonts
3. Choose writing system 'Bengali' from drop-down list
4. Select SolaimanLipi for normal font. click ok until you exit from preferences
If “i-complex” is already installed in Windows PC, you can view Bangla correctly in your Computer now! If you cannot, please follow the next step.
Step 3: Install “i-complex"
Just download and install “I-COMPLEX” in your computer. Click here to Download i-complex for installing Bangla Support in your computer.
After downloading is completed, run the software and click on "Install Complex Scripts" button. It will be installed and you might need to restart the computer.
OK ALL DONE. ENJOY BANGLA IN YOUR COMPUTER NOW!!
Step 4: For writing purpose only:
By this time, hopefully you have followed the above 3 steps.
To write Bangla anywhere (in PC, Blog, Facebook), download and install the “AVRO” software. You can Download “AVRO” software from here and install it in your computer (you might need to restart you computer).
After installing this software, it will be very easy for you to write Bangla. Just use the phonetics to express your thoughts. Look to the words:
আমি ভাল আছি
To write this in your PC (MS word, notepad, facebook or any other interfaces like Yahoo, gmail mail compose page)you need to write only:
ami valo achhi
You just press F12 key on your keyboard to change the keyboard type from Bangla to English and from English to Bangla.
